Energy
- It is measured in kilojoules or kilocalories (a calorie is equivalent to 4,185 joules);
- It may change into different forms of energy: chemical energy, stored in molecules like lipids and sugars, that can be transformed in the presence of oxygen;
- It is preserved: like the proverb: “Nothing is created, nothing is lost, everything is transforming,” it is the same with regard to energy present in the body, it remains constant.
- Weight gain: Obesity results from excessive storage of triglycerides. Obesity is a disease that affects more and more people everyday. It is a result of regulation and food contribution imbalance;
- Weight loss: If consumption exceeds contribution, the body will use all of its energy resources and affect certain functions. If this situation is of acute duration, compensatory mechanisms will kick in and start prioritizing vital functions. The affected person will feel weak, become tired, depressed and without energy.

COMMENTS
o Exercise helps to increase energy levels
Many individuals believe that exercising increases tiredness, on the contrary, it increases energy and stimulates metabolism. Exercise carried out each morning, in a routine way, could increase energy levels significantly. Aerobics, walking, running or even a 10 minute training session can make all the difference. Exercising regularly can only be beneficial.
o Drink enough water
The body needs water to function well. It enters the body and allows for the transport of vitamins, minerals and nutrients in the blood system and the cells. Water helps with waste disposal. It intervenes in the phenomena of thermal regulation by the means of perspiration. Dehydration can low down the operations of the body. It is necessary to drink before being thirsty it is a necessity for the human body.
o Eat Well
It is one of our principal concerns to preserve good health. Healthy and balanced foods depend on the choices and quantity of the food. Balanced foods are those which the positive substances override the negative ones. It is thus necessary to increase in our diets, fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates and proteins, while reducing fats.
